With every stroke of my brush, I encapsulate not just the physical likeness, but the unique essence and personality of your loved ones. To ensure that I can capture every nuance and detail, I kindly request high-resolution images that highlight facial details. This precision enables me to craft a portrait that not only resembles your loved one but also tells their story and reflects their spirit.
For those cherished photos taken by a professional photographer, please make sure you have the appropriate copyright release. This ensures that we honor and respect the creative rights of all artists involved.

Here is my process
- After receiving your photos or selecting an original artwork as inspiration, I will review them to ensure that they are suitable for the project and that I can achieve the best result possible.
- I will then mock up a drawing or painting in Photoshop, so you can visualize the composition and ensure you are happy with the size, placement, and overall design. If you provide me with a photo of the room where the artwork will hang, I can even mock it up in situ, using an object like a couch as a reference for size.
- Once you approve the mockup, we will enter into a commissioning agreement that outlines the project details, your right to refuse the work, any changes to the design, copyright information, payment terms, defects, and the final cost, including shipping and handling.
- Prices are in Australian dollars. A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to begin the commission. The remaining 50% plus shipping fees are due upon completion and approval of the final painting.
- Artwork is shipped from Australia, and a shipping estimate can be provided ahead of time. International clients are responsible for customs fees that may apply in their country.
Portraits may feature the sitter’s head and shoulders, or they may depict the whole figure or multiple people. When creating a portrait, my aim is to capture not only the sitter’s appearance but also their distinct personality traits.
I work with a variety of media, including graphite, charcoal, silverpoint, ballpoint pen, and oil paint, each requiring a suitable surface for optimal results.
I work from photo references and am able to capture a likeness and imbue a sense of life into the creation of your loved one’s image. The higher the resolution and better the lighting in the photo, the higher quality the final artwork will be.
A portrait of an individual can be a meaningful tribute to their unique qualities. However, if you have a specific photographic moment in mind that includes multiple people or a background/element you would like included, I am happy to discuss options with you in a free consultation.

Oil paintings are created on Ampersand Gessobord or a high quality Linen. The listed prices are for a one-subject portrait with no background. An additional fee of $250 will be charged for each additional subject and/or background.
Drawings are created on Legion Stonehenge 250gsm white paper. The listed prices are for a one-subject portrait with no background. An additional fee of $180 will be charged for each additional subject and/or background. My drawing mediums encompass Graphite, Ballpoint, Silverpoint, and Charcoal.
Prices listed are in AUD and exclude GST, framing, or shipping costs.
A twenty-minute photo consultation is included.
